Reynolds Community College offers what are known as stackable credentials which provide students the ability to obtain certifications they need to enter the workplace quickly and then continue their education if they so wish. A students ultimate goal may be a higher level of certification or a degree...it’s up to the individual and their personal aspirations. Take the classes you need when you have the time. Classes are available during the day, night, Saturday, and online.

Our Trades Programs
Architectural and Engineering Technology AAS
This degree program is designed to develop qualified technicians to serve as an important link between the engineering professional and the skilled trades person in the design, construction, and operation of engineering projects.
Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair CSC
This program is designed to train individuals for employment in express service light repair and maintenance positions at dealerships and independent repair shops.
Automotive Technology C
This program trains future technicians and provides students with sufficient hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of a wide variety of automobiles, as well as light to medium duty trucks.
Computer-aided design (CAD) CSC
This program provides the student with thorough training in two- and three-dimensional computer graphics for architectural and industrial design, including studies in visualization and animation.
Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Technology CSC
This program is designed to meet the need for automotive technicians with education in advanced technologies used for electric, plug-in hybrid, and fuel cell electric vehicles.
This one-year program is for students with no previous experience in welding, as well as individuals currently employed in the welding field who wish to upgrade their skills to test for various levels of welding certification.
Welding Advanced CSC
Opportunities for graduates include shop supervisor, weld inspector, offsite welder, fitter/welder, pipe welder, and advanced structural welder.
Short-term Training Options
The following training programs are focused on immediate employment and earning specific workforce credentials. Reynolds and John Tyler Community Colleges partner with the Community College Workforce Alliance (CCWA) to offer these programs which can be completed in a few weeks or months.
CCWA has funding through the Short-term Training Program for this certification prep course. The financial aid can help pay for training that supports attainment of industry credentials.
