All other senior institutions for which we have transfer agreements, but not specifically for teacher preparation: http://inside.reynolds.edu/inside_asr/Curriculum/ArticSr/default.htm
Required Tests
It is recommended that the PRAXIS I (PPST) and the Virginia Communication and Literacy Assessment—VCLA be taken one semester prior to your last semester at JSRCC (i.e. if you are on a 2-year plan, then tests should be taken the fall of the second year).
You may use other assessments in the place of all or part of the Praxis I. View the possible substitions for the Praxis I.
Other tests (Praxis II and Reading for Virginia Educators- RVE) should be taken as recommended by your senior (transfer) institution.

Pre-Teacher Education Student Advising
Academic Advising
Accurate advising is an integral part of your program as a Pre-Teacher Education student. First-year students (or students with less than 30 credits) will be advised through the Student Success Center. After you have completed 30 hours of coursework, you will be advised by a faculty advisor.
Note: Mathematics and Science students should also contact Prof. Shalini Upadhyaya at supadhyaya@Reynolds.edu.
Transfer Advising
In order to facilitate your transfer to a senior institution, it is highly recommended that you meet with a Career and Transfer counselor.
