Early Childhood Development

The College offers Early Childhood Development Certificate and Associate in Applied Science (AAS) Degree Programs.

The one-year certificate program in Early Childhood Development prepares students with skills related to the care, supervision, education and development of young children from birth to age eight. Certificate graduates can become qualified to work with children up to the age of twelve in programs that serve before and after school and recreational programs.

The two-year AAS Degree program in Early Childhood Development prepares students with skills and theoretical knowledge related to the care, supervision, education and development of young children from birth to age twelve. Upon successful completion of the curriculum, students can seek employment in a variety of positions in the childcare field.
