The School of Engineering & Manufacturing Technologies (SEMT) is home to a wide range of programs designed to prepare students to transfer to a four-year college or university in Engineering or to gain specific job skills in fields such as:

Automotive technology, carpentry, electronics technology, horticulture and welding. Other specialized programs focus on such diverse areas as equine management, floral design, diesel mechanics, and computer-aided design.

Our Mission:
The School of Engineering & Manufacturing Technologies at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College will be responsive to the academic and technical training needs of students, employers, and our community and will develop and maintain innovative, affordable, and accessible programs of study to address these needs in the areas of engineering, agricultural, and mechanical technologies.

Shall employ credentialed full-time and part-time faculty who will provide instruction in these programs and foster an atmosphere of continuing education and professional development for our students, faculty and staff.
