NetLibrary@JSRCC Libraries

NetLibrary is an Internet-based collection of electronic books (eBooks). JSRCC students, faculty and staff have access to 196 nursing titles and general study guides, as well as 3,400 public domain ebooks in literature and history through NetLibrary.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  1. How can I access NetLibrary from both on and off campus?

    On-campus:
All NetLibrary titles can be searched and accessed either through the link to Netlibrary or the JSRCC Library Catalog from library's homepage at http://www.reynolds.edu/library/.  No username or password is required.

    Off-campus:
To access Netlibrary collections from off-campus, you'll have to set up a free account at http://www.netlibrary.com from an internet terminal on campus.

  2. What is the difference between viewing and checking out a title?
Viewing lets you access a title in 15-minute increments. As long as you are active in the eContent (turning pages, doing full-text searches, etc.), you continue to have access to the title. When you become inactive in the eContent, it is returned for someone else to use. Checking out a title to your account gives you exclusive access to a title for the entire checkout period, which is set for 4 hours.

  3. Do I need to return full-text eContent titles when the checkout period expires?
No. The full-text eContent title automatically returns to your library after the checkout period.

  4. Can I print or copy text from a full-text eContent title?
Yes. You can copy small selections or print single pages of a title, just as you can with print material. NetLibrary full-text eContent is protected by copyright laws subject to the terms and conditions of fair use.
