Helpful Tips for Developmental Math
Registration for Summer 2013 has begun. Students registering for developmental math courses should register for their required courses in sequence. Students should be sure they do not register for more than one (four-week) MTE section at a time. Registration for all four sections should be completed by January 23, 2012 to ensure financial aid will pay for the classes. To achieve success in your developmental math classes, talk with an advisor (call 804-523-5374 for Downtown Campus classes or 804-523-5225 for Parham Road or Goochland Campus classes) and follow these helpful tips:

  • The developmental math class types are broken down as follows: Sections 01-19 are lecture every day, Sections 20-39 are alternate lecture and computer lab, Sections 40-99 are computer lab every day.
  • Attendance is required for all types of developmental math courses (except the Distance Learning).
  • Always attend the first day of each class so you don’t risk being dropped and having your financial aid impacted.
