PROGRAM ADMINISTRATION MANAGER I/PARKING SERVICES MANAGER

It is currently seeking applicants for the position of Parking Services Manager, Pay Band 4. This position will be assigned to Facilities Management and Planning/Parking Services, Downtown Campus, 700 E. Jackson Street.
TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Full-time classified position with state benefits.
DUTIES: The Parking Services Manager supervises the operations and administration of the Reynolds Community College campus parking facilities to include facility access systems and the collection of fees, fines, and other revenues associated with parking operations. The Parking Services Manager also supervises college employees assigned to Parking Services and ensures the exceptional, accurate, and timely delivery of customer service to students, faculty, staff, and the general public who are utilizing the college’s parking facilities. The Parking Services Manager is considered “essential personnel” and will be called upon in the event of inclement weather and other emergencies.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Considerable knowledge of parking operations and programs, cash collection systems, automated traffic control, parking access and revenue control management systems. Working knowledge of parking garage and parking lot maintenance. Working knowledge of cash receipt management and audit/revenue controls. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement parking management policies and procedures. Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct the work of others, to develop and manage employee work schedules, and monitor and evaluate staff performance. Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service to patrons and the general public. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with a diverse group of internal and external customers. High school graduate or equivalent with additional training in traffic, parking management, business management or related fields. The selected candidate must be able to pass the college’s pre-employment security screening including a national credit check.
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED: Work experience in the coordination and oversight of parking or traffic operations, which includes extensive public contact and funds management. Experience with the Commonwealth of Virginia’s policies related to cash receipt management is preferred. Current supervisory experience is also preferred.
PAY BAND RANGE: $33,598 - $83,649
STARTING SALARY: Approximate starting salary, $33,598- $54,000, based on related full-time experience and pre-employment salary.
