CULINARY ARTS INSTRUCTORS (PART-TIME)
Reynolds Community College is the third largest community college in Virginia and offers a variety of academic programs and services to the residents of the City of Richmond and five nearby counties. Annually, our three campuses serve approximately 14,000 credit students and provide training for 6,500 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. The College is seeking adjunct instructors to teach day, evening, and possible Saturday classes in Culinary Arts.
TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Part-time adjunct teaching faculty-ranked appointment. Salary commensurate with the education and experience of the applicant.
Associate’s and/or Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts and a minimum of two (2) years of related occupational experience at the Sous Chef level or higher in the field of Culinary Arts is required. The selected candidate must be able to successfully pass the college’s pre-employment security screening.
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED: Current ServSafe certification and a minimum of five (5) years of industry experience at Executive Chef level or higher is preferred. Previous related teaching experience; American Culinary Federation Certification; and excellent computer skills are also preferred. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, and work with a diverse population of faculty, staff and students.
