Reynolds is currently seeking applicants for the position of Instructional Assistant – Testing Center which will be assigned to Enrollment Management and Student Success on the Downtown Campus.
TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Full-time classified position with state benefits.
DUTIES: The Instructional Assistant manages testing staff, to include setting work schedules, providing training as needed, and evaluating work performance and providing feedback; and administers make-up tests, on-line tests, and Specialty Tests for the Downtown Campus according to published guidelines and procedures. The Instructional Assistant is responsible for providing proctoring services during published times, adhering to College and instructor deadlines, policies and/or procedures; and is responsible for scheduling test times and dates, and publicizing this information for students, faculty and staff. This position serves as VPT Institutional Administrator responsible for monitoring VPT units ensuring adequate amounts are available to meeting testing demand. The Instructional Assistant is also responsible for creating testing sites locally and remotely, creating test proctors, site managers, and assigning test privileges; maintains adequate level of supplies and materials for daily operations within testing center; and performs a variety of other administrative and office support tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the Testing Center.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Working knowledge of educational software programs; and instructional techniques and tools. Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of support and assistance to faculty and students in the use of the college testing center and equipment; and to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to follow established guidelines and procedures; and to effectively manage a classroom/testing environment. Demonstrated ability to perform administrative and office support functions; and to use a personal computer and current software programs. Demonstrated ability to work with students of varying backgrounds and educational levels. Graduation from high school or equivalent. The selected candidate must be able to pass the college’s pre-employment security screening.
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED: High school graduate with additional coursework in student learning, counseling or a related area and/or an Associate’s degree in a related area is preferred. Experience in instructional support in an academic environment is also preferred.
PAY BAND: 3
STARTING SALARY: Salary range: $28,354 - $45,000, based on related experience.
