(Education Support Specialist III)

Reynolds is currently seeking applicants for three College Navigator positions.

TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Full-time classified position with state benefits.

DUTIES: The College Navigator is a vital role, serving as a resource and guide to prospective students and applicants. The Navigator provides high-quality service allowing prospective students to successfully complete the college onboarding process. The Navigator embraces a holistic model of care and uses the case management approach to new student onboarding. This position serves as the primary point of contact for a new student - decreasing fragmentation of services and providing quality care across a continuum of enrollment requirements. The Navigator keeps prospective students engaged from the first point of contact through registration; and provides guidance and direction and support for prospective and new students from the moment of first inquiry, decreasing the length of time spent from being interested in college to register for college. The College Navigator positions are remote work positions, however incumbents will be required to come on site for events and meetings as needed. Incumbents must also be able to work flexible work hours, to include evening and occasional weekends to best serve customers.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Knowledge and understanding of academic and workforce programs; and some knowledge of credit and non-credit program coordination processes, policies, rules and regulations. Knowledge and understanding of and a commitment to open-access college philosophy. Demonstrated knowledge and skill in providing exceptional customer service, including the ability to effectively follow up and follow through. Proficient skills in the use of technology, including Microsoft Office. Demonstrated ability to communicate using strong interpersonal skills to help engage, motivate, and provide support to a racially, ethnically, economically, and age diverse population of customers. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a collaborative team to include partners from within and outside of Enrollment Management and Student Success. Demonstrated strong problem-solving and organizational skills; and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Bachelor's degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED: Knowledge of the barriers to educational success. Some work experience in a higher education setting with a basic knowledge of enrollment practices.


STARTING SALARY: Maximum starting salary, $55,000. Based on related experience.
