ACCOUNTING INSTRUCTORS (PART-TIME)

 

J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and offers a variety of academic programs and services to the residents of the City of Richmond and five nearby counties. Annually, our three campuses serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. The College is seeking adjunct instructors to teach day, evening, and online classes in Accounting.


TYPE OF APPOINTMENT:  Part-time adjunct teaching faculty-ranked appointment. Salary commensurate with the experience of the applicant in graduate education in the field, related full-time occupational employment, and full-time equivalent teaching.


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:   Master’s degree in Accounting; or Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Accounting. The selected candidate must be able to successfully pass the college’s pre-employment security screening.

 

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED: Two (2) plus years related occupational experience in related field.  Teaching experience in one or more college level courses in the subject area Financial and Managerial Accounting.  Demonstrated ability to employ multiple teaching strategies in an online environment. Demonstrated ability to incorporate technology routinely into instructional and faculty responsibilities. Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with multi-cultural populations that support diversity, cultural understanding and inclusion is strongly preferred.
