MATHEMATICS INSTRUCTORS (ADJUNCT)
Reynolds Community College is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and offers a variety of academic programs and services to the residents of the City of Richmond and five nearby counties. Annually, our three campuses serve approximately 14,000 credit students and provide training for 6,500 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. The College is seeking applicants for adjunct teaching assignments for both developmental and transfer mathematics courses.
TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Part-time adjunct teaching faculty-ranked appointment. Salary commensurate with the education and experience of the applicant.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Applicants wishing to be considered for teaching opportunities in DEVELOPMENTAL MATHEMATICS must have, at minimum, a Bachelor’s degree related to the teaching field of mathematics. Applicants wishing to be considered for teaching opportunities in TRANSFER MATHEMATICS must have, at minimum, a Master’s degree in Mathematics, or a Master’s degree in different teaching field with at least eighteen (18) graduate semester hours in mathematics. The selected candidate must be able to successfully pass the college's pre-employment security screening.
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED: Current or previous teaching experience at the secondary level is preferred. Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with multi-cultural populations that support diversity, cultural understanding and inclusion is preferred. Experience teaching with or using an on-line course management system is also preferred.
