RELIGION INSTRUCTORS (PART-TIME) 

J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and offers a variety of academic programs and services to the residents of the City of Richmond and five nearby counties. Annually, our three campuses serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. During our 48-year history Reynolds is proud to have educated more than 350,000 people in the greater Richmond area. There is need for a qualified instructors for the Fall 2020 semester, beginning in August 2020.


TYPE OF APPOINTMENT:  Part-time adjunct teaching faculty-ranked appointment. Salary commensurate with the experience of the applicant in graduate education in the field, related full-time occupational employment, and full-time equivalent teaching. 


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:  Master’s degree in religion or related field; or Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in religion. The selected candidate must be able to successfully pass the college’s pre-employment security screening.

 

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED: Community college and online teaching experience, and experience with Canvas are preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to place a strong emphasis on student-centered learning and provide an innovative e-learning experience. Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with multi-cultural populations that support diversity, cultural understanding and inclusion is preferred.
