TYPE OF APPOINTMENT:  Part-time hourly position without state benefits.  The Reynolds warehouse operating hours are 7:00 AM until 3:45 PM daily, Monday through Friday. The successful candidate must be available to work during warehouse operating hours for approximately twenty (20) to twenty nine (29) hours per week.


DUTIES:  The Postal/Warehouse Assistant assists the Warehouse Supervisor with office coverage, and receiving and sorting packages. The Postal/Warehouse Assistant will also assist with the movement of items stored in the warehouse and assist with record retention; and will serve as primary mail and package delivery across campuses.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:  Working knowledge of postal/mailroom procedures. Demonstrated ability to work independently in the receiving and sorting of goods. Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and perform duties within specified time guidelines. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.  Demonstrated ability to lift 50 pounds; and to properly use material handling equipment. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Virginia driver's license required to operate State vehicle. The selected candidate must be able to pass the college’s pre-employment security screening.


QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:  Current mailroom/warehouse experience is preferred. Forklift certification is also preferred.


STARTING SALARY:  Starting hourly rate: $15.00 per hour
