HCA Richmond CEO Patrick W. Farrell, also a JSRCC Educational Foundation Board Member, is chairing the College's first-ever Major Gifts Campaign. In a surprise announcement made at the College's 35th birthday celebration he shared a $15 million goal, with more than $11 million raised to date. College initiatives in the Campaign will remove barriers to college education for individuals, fill workforce shortage needs in Richmond, and increase the standard of living for at-risk youth in the City. He also talked about his company's partnership with the nursing program at Reynolds, through a previous $1 million gift, to produce more nursing graduates and address the nursing shortage.

JSRCC celebrated its 35th birthday with more than 100 guests, including members of the Reynolds Family. A surprise announcement made at the birthday celebration revealed the College is in its first-ever Major Gifts Campaign with a goal of $15 million to preserve college access for all individuals and build a skilled workforce.
