JSRCC CELEBRATES NATIONAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE MONTH
RICHMOND, Va (April 13, 2006) - J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College joins nearly 1,200 community colleges across the country in celebrating April as National Community College Month.
JSRCC has planned several events designed to recognize its many outstanding students, faculty and staff and to highlight its exceptional academic and workforce training programs. Among these events are the following:
Friday, April 14, 3pm: An Afternoon of Chamber Music (Downtown Campus Auditorium)
Thursday, April 20, 10am-2pm: Meet Jason Hunt – PRO Compact Racer (Goochland Campus)
Thursday, April 20, 7-8:30pm: Book Discussion - "Kite Runner" (Gallery – Building B Room 101, Parham Road Campus)
Thursday, April 20, 8:30-10:30pm: International Dance (Gallery – Building B Room 101, Parham Road Campus)
Friday, April 21, 6-9pm: Student Art Show Awards Night (Gallery – Building B Room 101, Parham Road Campus)
Wednesday, April 26, 10am-5pm: Spring Job Fair (Burnette Hall Commons Area, Parham Road Campus)
Thursday, April 27, 7-8:30pm: Gwendolyn Brooks Poetry Night (Borders Books and Music at 9750 West Broad Street)
Saturday, April 29, 11am-2pm: Garden Fest 2006 (Goochland Campus)
Serving over 17,000 students annually, JSRCC is the youngest and third largest of 23 community colleges in Virginia.
