Who We Are
J. Sargeant Reynolds (JSRCC) is the youngest and third largest of 23 community colleges in Virginia. Our number one goal is providing our students with the skills they need to succeed in a competitive workplace.
The three campuses serve residents in the City of Richmond and the counties of Henrico, Hanover, Goochland, Powhatan and Louisa. Our Workforce Training Centers are located in the Downtown Campus, the North Run Business Park on Parham Road, and in the Richmond Times-Dispatch facility in Hanover County.
Why We're Here
We provide the teachers and resources to help you succeed. Whether you are interested in a career or are taking a course for personal enrichment, our professional educators are here to help. Many of our students go on to four-year colleges and universities, armed with the foundations of knowledge and the study habits necessary for success.
Get the Personal Attention You Need to Succeed
As a student, you are given the individual attention you need. Small classes and counseling services are two of the important ways we help. Whether it's advice in choosing a career path or designing a course schedule to transfer to a four-year school, we are here to help. A statewide policy on transfers gives admissions priority to JSRCC transfer students, grants credit for courses taken at the community college, and establishes a recommended course of study for our students who wish to transfer to a four-year college or university.
Who Can Benefit from a Reynolds Education?
Anyone! Whether you were the valedictorian of your high school class or didn't experience the success in high school you hoped for, JSRCC can give everyone a chance to succeed. You CAN make it happen at JSRCC!
