Cumulative GPA Required:
Maintain minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5

Degree Required:

• Must have graduated from  transfer-oriented Associate's degree (A.A. or A.S. or A.A. & S)
• Does not include A.A.A. (Associate of Applied Arts) or A.A.S. (Associate of Applied Science)

Course Prerequisites:

• Must satisfy  6 credits of foreign language at either  VCCS or UVA at Wise

Acceptance Status:

• Guarantees acceptance of all transferable credits earned from the transfer-oriented associate degree program, not to exceed 62 credits
• Satisfies lower-level general education courses
• Accepts dual enrollment courses

Letter of Intent Required:

• Must declare intent to transfer to UVA Wise after completion of a minimum of 15 credits applied towards the transfer-oriented associate degree and before applying for graduation from community college 

Minimum Grade in Transferable Courses:

• Earn a "C" or higher in each community college course applicable to the transfer-oriented associate degree

Guaranteed Admission:

• Yes. Guarantees admission to UVA at Wise (not into specific programs)

Scholarships:

• Eligible to apply for scholarships designated for GAA students

Notes:

• Cannot guarantee that students will be able to complete all requirements for graduation within the 120-credit minimum needed for graduation
