  1. Free tutoring is available to students at JSRCC who are currently enrolled in the JSRCC credit courses they list on the REQUEST FOR TUTORING application. However, each term, there may be courses for which tutors are not available.

  2. The Academic Support Centers (ASC) cannot provide tutoring for students in courses that have already been successfully completed, in non-credit courses, in audited courses, for senior citizens taking tuition-free courses or students from special programs at the college that incorporate tutoring or reduced sized classes.

  3. Students may use a maximum of two 50-minute sessions per week per course of peer tutorial services. Walk-in group sessions may be available with faculty volunteers for some courses. Please check with the ASC each term for Walk-in tutoring hours. .

  4. Pick up and complete a REQUEST FOR TUTORING application from an Academic Support Center, Room 345 (DTC) or Room 102, Burnette Hall (PRC). The application is also available online at www.reynolds.edu/tutor. Print and bring a copy along with your College ID number.

  5. When you submit the completed application to the ASC, an appointment is made or a search for a qualified tutor is started. If a tutor is not available, your application is placed on a waiting list. Students should stop by or call the ASC to check on their status. First appointments must be made in person in the ASC. Follow up appointments may be scheduled in person or by telephone

  6. If you have any physical or medical condition that requires special assistance in order to take advantage of the services at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College, please contact the Office of Student Accommodations.
