The Computer Science program at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College is a two year program. Upon successful completion of the program a student will be awarded an A.S. degree. A student may choose to transfer to a four year university and complete a B.S. degree.
A prospective student must have four years of high school math to finish in four semesters. Many high school students do not realize their career aspirations until after high school and some even decide to change majors while taking college courses. J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College serves a community of learners and offers courses to complete program prerequisites at a very reasonable rate.
Transfer students are encouraged to visit and communicate with their desired transfer institution as soon as possible. The Computer Science Specialization, in addition to earning an A.S. degree, can satisfy many general education requirements at four year universities with careful course selection.
