As part of the Virginia Plan for Dual Enrollment and the Commonwealth College Course Collaborative Program, the Dual Enrollment Program at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College (JSRCC) provides an opportunity for high school students to get a head-start to college graduation. Students who enroll in this program take college-level courses at their local high school or technical center. Students may also take classes on one of the JSRCC campuses with special permission from their principal. Upon completion of these courses, students will receive credits that count toward their high school diploma as well as earn credits toward a degree at JSRCC or to transfer to a four-year institution. This enables students to get a head start on completing their college degree by making the most of their time in high school while helping to reduce expenses related to the college experience. All college-level courses are taught by faculty who meet SACS certification or eligibility. >> Link to Dual Enrollment Information and Procedures |
