Hi, I’m President Paula Pando, inviting you to ride along with Reynolds — a regular update on where the college is heading, who’s joining us for the journey, and why it matters for our students and community.
Happy May, everyone! As we wrap up another academic year, there’s so much to celebrate — hard work, perseverance, and the incredible momentum that continues to build at your community college. That momentum begins with moments like our spring open house.
Just a few weeks ago, hundreds of prospective students and their families gathered at our Parham Road Campus to get a true feel for Reynolds. They met our faculty and staff, explored academic programs, and discovered how college can lead to real-world careers.
Open house isn’t just an event — it’s an invitation, a chance to turn the idea of college into something tangible and personal.
And once students say yes to Reynolds, we keep that momentum going by helping them start strong, especially in Gateway Math and English. Why? Because research tells us that completing these courses early is one of the strongest predictors of student success.
It’s part of our deep, intentional work toward achieving the dream. This spring, our ATD (Achieving the Dream) coaches returned to campus to help us reflect on how far we’ve come and challenge us to go further.
It was a powerful reminder that sustainable progress is built on discipline, alignment, and continuous learning. Of course, the ultimate sign of success is watching our students walk across the stage at commencement.
In April, we helped our future class of 2025 Red Hawks prepare for takeoff at our “Graduates Take Flight” events. These celebrations gave students a chance to pick up their regalia, connect with friends, and get ready for their next chapter.
Their joy was unmistakable — and so well earned. And finally, a big thank you to everyone who gave generously during Give Day 2025.
Together, we raised more than $46,000 to support our students and programs. Your belief in the power of education helps fuel our mission.
It’s been a remarkable year at Reynolds. Thanks for riding along with us — we’ll see you next month.
