Meet Dominique Maddux-Jackson
When it comes to helping students navigate the ins and outs of financial aid, Dominique Maddux-Jackson brings both expertise and heart to the job. As Reynolds’ Assistant Director of Financial Aid, she balances numbers, policies, and people—always keeping student success at the center. A Richmond native who’s been part of the Reynolds family since 2019, Dominique finds joy in supporting students by day and staying active, reading, and keeping up with her lively 6-year-old daughter by night.
Where were you born and where do you live now?
I was born and raised in Richmond, VA, where I currently reside.
When did you join Reynolds and what made you want to join Reynolds Community College?
I joined Reynolds in March 2019. I wanted to join Reynolds because I wanted to be back in the financial aid world, and I also wanted to be part of a smaller office family.
What is your role at Reynolds and what do you do on a typical day?
I work as the Assistant Director of Financial Aid at Reynolds. A typical day for me includes, but is never limited to, determining award eligibility and awarding students, running reports, processing and reviewing SAP Appeals, responding to emails, meetings, collaborating with other departments, and processing and disbursing student aid.
What do you do in your spare time?
I enjoy going to the gym, reading, playing video games, watching crime shows, and annoying my 6-year-old daughter.
