Reynolds is currently seeking applicants for the position of Web Development Manager, Pay Band 5, which will be assigned to Marketing on the Parham Road Campus, 1651 E. Parham Road, Richmond, VA 23228.
TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Full-time classified position with state benefits.
DUTIES: The Reynolds Web Development Manager has the responsibility of creating and maintaining an attractive, dynamic, interactive, and up-to-date public web site that is accessible by all browsers and platforms and is Section 508 compliant, in order to provide information about Reynolds and its diverse audiences. This position works collaboratively with faculty and staff to develop web-based projects and initiatives. The Web Development Manager will report directly to the Director of Marketing, and will work closely with the Assistant Director of Marketing and graphic designer, to implement web marketing strategies; this position also works closely with Information Technology Services to ensure consistent, effective implementation of necessary hardware and software to support the web function. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Considerable working knowledge and use of web applications and development, principles of web-based and integrated marketing; and web architecture, design, and related technologies. Demonstrated proficiency in HTML, XHTML, PHP, SQL, CSS, Dreamweaver Adobe Creative Cloud, Java ActiveX programming, ASP.Net, content management systems and custom development. Demonstrated experience and skill with graphic software, including Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent applications. Knowledge of web analytics, UX Design, and Search Engine Optimization. Knowledge of the Associated Press Style Manual and ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with non-technical end-users. Demonstrated ability to benchmark, test, and analyze web traffic and recommend and implement current web best practices. Demonstrated ability to organize and lead meetings to provide guidance and solicit feedback on web strategies. Demonstrated ability to function independently, and to effectively work in a team environment, and with diverse groups/individuals with differing and competing priorities. Demonstrated ability to establish work priorities and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; skill in planning and project management techniques; and the ability to utilize a high level of customer service practices and principles. The selected candidate must be able to pass the college's pre-employment security screening.
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED: Bachelor’s degree in media arts and design, mass communications, graphic design, information systems technology or a related field is preferred. Current work experience in designing and maintaining interactive websites for a complex, diverse organization. Web content management experience. Work experience in an academic environment preferred. Project management experience is also preferred.
PAY BAND: 5
STARTING SALARY: Starting salary: $48,391 - $86,000, based on related experience.
